It has been said that The Rivershack Tavern is one of the most unusual bars in New Orleans. Amongst the
general oddities, the tacky ashtrays (more on that here) and excellent food, The Rivershack Tavern is a great
place to catch local, New Orleans live music. If you are from New Orleans, then you already know about
Frenchman St. in the Marigny, the clubs on Decatur St. in the quarter, and the various places all around the
city.
But do you know about The Rivershack Tavern?
If you don’t, we surely like if you did. We regularly host musicians and bands with no cover. In fact, we do
this almost every other night. You can find all kinds of New Orleans live music here, ranging from rock, blues,
jazz, and even some karaoke every now and then. If you can’t make it for the music, swing by for lunch and
have a taste of our excellent chef’s creations. By excellent, we mean expensive french quarter restaurant
excellent — but at an exceptionally reasonable price. We also have a great selection of beers on tap and
in the bottle. We rotate a selections of beers on tap every so often, so come by often try each one!
